OUR EDITORIAL APPROACH

How this journal is prepared

Understand the distinction between authorship, AI assistance and medical review in The Women’s Health Journal.

Clear information starts with clear attribution.

Each article identifies its actual author or editorial publisher, medical reviewer and recorded publication and review dates. Medical review is a separate role from writing.

AI assistance, disclosed.

Where AI assists editorial preparation, that assistance is labelled. AI-assisted articles are not presented as personally written by the doctor unless genuine authorship is established.

Reviewed before publication.

Medical content follows a draft, medical review, approval and publication process. References, clinical explanations and the scope of the review are considered before a page is published. The review date shown is a recorded review event, not the date you visit the page.

Sources and updates.

Sources accompany each article. Guidance and individual circumstances can differ. A published date, a substantive update and a medical review are recorded separately; a visual design change does not create a new medical review date.

Information for a conversation.

The journal offers general educational information. It cannot diagnose your circumstances or replace individual medical advice. Appointment requests are not intended for emergencies.
